What counts as a dental emergency?
Severe or persistent tooth pain, a broken or knocked-out tooth, a lost filling or crown, swelling, or bleeding that won't stop are all dental emergencies. When in doubt, call us at (915) 755-7697 — we will help you decide what to do next and get you in as soon as possible.
Can I be seen the same day?
Yes. We keep room in our schedule for urgent care and do everything we can to see emergency patients the same day. The sooner you call, the sooner we can relieve your pain and protect your tooth, so don't wait — reach out right away.
What should I do if my tooth is knocked out?
Pick the tooth up by the crown, not the root, and gently rinse it without scrubbing. If you can, place it back in the socket; if not, keep it in a little milk or saliva and call us immediately. Acting within the first hour gives the best chance of saving the tooth.
What are your hours for emergencies?
Our office is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and we reserve time each day for urgent visits. We are closed on Sunday — if you have a life-threatening emergency such as severe swelling affecting breathing or uncontrolled bleeding, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
